In 1989 I drew my first caricature, my manager Jill Cooper, entitling it Super Cooper. It was a hit so I drew more of my work colleagues with help from Mark Wearing whose untapped artistic talent assisted with the detail no end.

In 1991 I attended the Danish Cup Final in Aarhus with Andreas Eschle and Poul Aas Mortensen. There, we were provided endless entertainment by a loud, beer-swilling, chain-smoking, moustachioed, fat football fan who I drew from memory the moment I got home.

That was it for drawing until 2019 when I picked up my Ipad and stylus to draw some ghastly work colleagues as a form of what Eva Neilsen described as ’voodoo.’ Despite the negative motivation I was drawing again and I was enjoying it.

Then Covid hit the world meaning I had the time and the chance to draw and really draw, in detail, fine detail, a level of detail that I never knew I could attain until I tried.
